Energy System's M Jet Series Steam Jet Air Ejectors are an extremely
simple form of a vacuum pump that utilizes the ejector action of
a high velocity of steam to create a vacuum.
The
air or gases to be evacuated enter the ejector suction, are entrained
by the jet of steam and discharged through the throat. Here the
velocity of kinetic energy is converted into pressure, thereby
compressing the mixture to a lower vacuum (i.e. a higher absolute
pressure). Depending on the degree of vacuum desired, one, two
or three stages are used to complete the compression to atmospheric
pressure.
